With an output of 600 lumens and a beam range of up to 100 metres, it covers the distances typical of personal and professional use in both indoor and outdoor environments.

The built-in 260 mAh Li-Pol battery charges via the included magnetic USB cable with no memory effect, removing the dependency on replaceable cells. After approximately ten minutes of continuous use the output steps down progressively to 60 lumens to manage heat and protect the battery — a factor worth considering during extended sessions, where a light running on primary cells would hold full output longer, though the rechargeable design of the PL-Mini 2 eliminates the risk of finding a flat battery after a period of inactivity.
