The foam is pre-scored into removable cubes: you pull out only the blocks you need, creating a profile that follows the exact outline of your gear. This lets you reconfigure the same insert whenever your loadout changes — simply carve new cavities — making it more flexible than a moulded insert, which locks you into a fixed layout from the start. The dense foam absorbs shocks transmitted through the outer hard shell, keeping replicas from shifting or knocking against each other during car or air travel.

The pack includes two sheets, one for the lid and one for the main compartment. Having both halves lined means every internal surface of the case contributes to securing the contents: no side is left unpadded. The grey colour makes it easy to spot any empty spaces not occupied by gear, which is useful when packing before a trip.
