The ripstop fabric resists tearing during movement through dense vegetation, and the triple-reinforced knees hold up under prolonged use in the prone position or when crawling — the areas most subject to wear on any field session. The front fabric gaiters add an additional layer of abrasion protection where the trousers contact the ground.
