The FMA E-Lite is an ultra-flat flexible silicone positional light designed to be worn on a helmet, tactical vest or clothing without adding bulk or creating dangerous edges. Weighing 30 g and measuring 100 x 30 x 10 mm, it sits on the body unnoticed and stays in place even during sharp movements.
The silicone body conforms to curved surfaces — helmet brim, shoulder straps, vest sides — without needing rigid adapters. Mounting is compatible with VELCRO panels and PALS rails of the MOLLE system: it can be moved from one mount to another in seconds, with no tools required. This mounting flexibility is what matters in operational use, where the position of a visual signal changes with role and platform.
The E-Lite emits blue light in two modes — steady and flashing — for position identification in low-visibility conditions. Power comes from a single 3 V CR2032 battery, with a rated runtime of 120 hours on continuous use: a relevant figure when recharging or swapping batteries frequently is not an option. The housing is water- and impact-resistant. The trade-off to bear in mind is the limited output, which is consistent with the intended purpose: the E-Lite is a signalling and identification tool, not an area-illumination torch.
