The Helikon-Tex Low Profile Kneepads Inserts are 6 mm neoprene pads designed to sit inside the dedicated pockets built into tactical trousers: a lightweight, low-profile way to protect the knees — or elbows — during prone and kneeling shooting sessions, outdoor activities, and extended operational use.

The 6 mm neoprene absorbs impact and insulates the joint from cold or uneven ground, while the nylon outer face reduces movement inside the pocket and adds abrasion resistance. The construction has no rigid edges and no external attachments, making the inserts unnoticeable while walking yet ready the moment you drop to a kneeling position. The trade-off to keep in mind is that, being soft inserts rather than hard-shell pads, they protect against abrasion and distributed impact — gravel, asphalt, cold surfaces — but not against concentrated high-energy impacts such as hard falls: anyone looking for structural protection should consider pads with a plastic shell instead.

Compatible with the knee-pad pockets of Helikon-Tex UTP trousers and, after simple trimming to size, with the SFU, SFU Next, CPU, TCU, ACU and USM models in the same range. The cut-to-fit adjustment allows them to be shaped to different silhouettes without any tools.
