Kicking Mustang KMCS Next-Gen Brown Ghillie Poncho

The KMCS Camouflage Poncho by Kicking Mustang is a one-size ghillie poncho designed for hunters, observers and operators working in woodland, arid terrain or autumn vegetation. The base brown colourway works with the Next-Gen Brown pattern, optimised for dark backgrounds, dry leaf litter and open woodland.

The fabric is lightweight and breathable, built for extended sessions in a static position without excessive heat build-up. The Adaptive Ghillie Mesh three-dimensional netting covers the entire surface and serves two distinct purposes: it adjusts its silhouette to changing light conditions and provides attachment points across the whole garment where natural vegetation — branches, grass, leaves — can be threaded in to complete the camouflage for any specific environment. This layered approach lets the poncho adapt to different microenvironments without swapping the garment, though it does require a few minutes of fieldcraft preparation each time the terrain changes.

The drawcord-and-grommet system, derived from the US Army poncho, creates an air gap between the poncho and the layer beneath: in cold conditions it insulates, in wet conditions it reduces water penetration. Front and rear clips allow it to be worn as a ghillie suit rather than a simple cape, keeping both hands free. The central chest opening lets the user work with spotting scopes, binoculars or hunting optics without uncovering the head or lifting the poncho.
