Kicking Mustang KMCS Ghillie Grass Raffia — Light Brown

The KMCS Ghillie Grass by Kicking Mustang is pre-dyed, combed raffia designed for building or enhancing ghillie suits, covering packs, airsoft replicas, and any other gear intended for use in open or semi-wooded terrain. Each pack weighs between 40 and 50 g, enough to cover a substantial section of kit without adding meaningful bulk.

The Light Brown colour replicates the look of dry grass, straw, and fine twigs typical of open fields, arid zones, and woodland in the dry season. Compared to darker variants, this shade works better in environments with low, pale vegetation — yellowed meadows or sparse scrub — where it blends in naturally. In greener or wetter surroundings it tends to stand out rather than conceal, which is worth bearing in mind before choosing a colour variant. The material is ready to use with no additional dyeing required, so it can be applied directly in the field.

Attachment is done by tying small bundles of five to ten strands onto the gear or onto the ghillie suit netting. Alternating different lengths and arranging the material irregularly breaks up the human outline more convincingly than a uniform distribution. Cutting the raffia to length — roughly between 10 and 20 cm — allows the visual density to be tuned to the intended observation distance. Attachment ties are not included.
