The Cobra Hood is a hooded camouflage cape covering the head, shoulders and part of the arms, designed to break up the body's silhouette in woodland and dense vegetation. It extends the classic Viper Hood design by adding lateral coverage across the shoulders, maintaining a low profile while keeping access to plate carrier and chest rig pockets unobstructed.

The hood is sized to fit over a helmet and, when in a firing position, can cover the objective lens of an optic without any additional adjustment. The three-dimensional leaf configuration replicates the layered structure of the forest understorey: the overlapping layers catch light unevenly and reduce the depth perception that would otherwise make a human silhouette identifiable. The typical trade-off with this kind of garment is exactly here: shoulder coverage improves concealment in the prone and kneeling positions, but the lower torso is intentionally left open, so it does not interfere with the load-bearing system and allows a KMCS pack cover to be worn separately when camouflage needs to extend further down.
