Helikon-Tex Patriot MK2 Hybrid Fleece Jacket

The Patriot MK2 is a 340 g/m² Hybrid Fleece jacket designed as a mid-layer or outer layer in cold, dry conditions: hunters, shooters spending time at the range during colder seasons, and operators working outdoors with significant temperature swings. Compared to the previous single-layer heavyweight fleece version, this second generation brings the total weight down to 710 grams while improving breathability.

The Hybrid Fleece material combines two layers with distinct roles: the outer face is a classic fleece that retains body heat, while the inner face uses a cross-knit construction derived from Alpha jackets, distributing heat more evenly and wicking moisture away more quickly. The result is a workable balance between warmth and weight: the Patriot MK2 is neither waterproof nor windproof, so in rain it needs a dedicated outer shell, but as a mid-layer or outer layer in dry conditions it manages heat better than traditional fleece of the same thickness.

The cut is designed around freedom of movement: raglan sleeves eliminate the shoulder seam, reducing friction points against a vest or plate carrier worn over the top. The centre YKK dual-slider zip lets you open the jacket from the bottom when seated or in a vehicle without removing your harness. The collar features a chin and beard guard to prevent direct zip-to-skin contact. Underarm vents allow heat to escape during high-output activity without fully opening the jacket. The extended rear hem covers the lower back when leaning forward, while the adjustable drawcord hem stops cold air from pushing up inside.
