Helikon-Tex MCDU DyNyCo Trousers — PenCott WildWood

The Helikon-Tex MCDU trousers are a technical combat garment in PenCott WildWood camouflage, designed for demanding airsoft players and operators working in outdoor environments. The design draws on the military paratrooper trousers of the 1950s, reworked with modern materials to combine mechanical durability and freedom of movement throughout the day.

The main fabric is DyNyCo, a nylon-cotton blend that strikes a balanced performance between water repellency, breathability and abrasion resistance. Where the range of motion is greatest — the waist, crotch and back of the knees — Versastretch panels allow full flexion without the fabric pulling, and dry quickly after hard effort or a downpour. Knees and seat are reinforced with 500D Cordura: a weight chosen to resist ground abrasion without adding unnecessary stiffness to areas that do not need it. The knee pockets accept optional protective inserts, meaning the trousers can be worn with or without structured padding depending on the terrain.

The thigh pockets open via a zip covered by a flap and offer enough volume for bulky items; the front pockets have reinforced edges that hold up to prolonged contact with holsters or knives. The rear pockets are functional but have no retention system: they will hold a wallet or documents during static use, but in dynamic movement the contents are not secured. The belt loops accept belts up to 40 mm wide, compatible with most tactical systems on the market. The closure is a combination of hook-and-loop and a metal zip at the waist — an arrangement that makes quick adjustment straightforward but requires more care in maintenance than a simple button.
