Chest rig Helikon-Tex Guardian Recce Cordura — Coyote

The Guardian Recce is a chest rig in 100% nylon Cordura at 235 g/m², designed for shooters and operators who need to carry multiple magazines and support gear without giving up mobility. Empty weight is 823 g, with a front profile of 55 cm wide by 23 cm tall and a depth of 8 cm: dimensions that keep it compact on the torso while leaving the arms free for shooting movements.

The central body holds up to 4 AR15 or AK magazines in pockets with robust buckle closures: the buckle keeps the load secure during running or vehicle movement, but requires a deliberate motion to draw — a conscious design choice that prioritises retention over the one-handed speed of open-top elastic pockets. Those who prefer faster access can consider adding Competition-line inserts to the two side universal pockets, which are also compatible with training grenades. The entire outer perimeter features MOLLE/PALS webbing, allowing the configuration to be expanded with additional pouches without modifying the rig.

The front admin pocket is lined with a soft velcro panel compatible with Helikon-Tex's Versatile Insert System (VIS) inserts, so the internal organisation adapts to the mission without emptying the rig: simply swap the insert. On the inside there is a zip pocket for maps and documents and two flat pockets for handheld radios, physically separated from the externally loaded gear and therefore accessible even with the rig on and magazines already drawn.
