Helikon-Tex Baseball Cap Velcro Ripstop — Navy Blue

The Helikon-Tex Baseball Cap is a tactical ripstop cap designed for shooters, hunters and operators who need an adjustable, ventilated headwear ready to accept identifiers on three Velcro panels. The universal sizing fits head circumferences from 51 to 60 cm via the rear hook-and-loop strap.

The 60% cotton / 40% polyester ripstop fabric weighs 215 g/m²: the cross-weave pattern stops tears from spreading without stiffening the cap, keeping the total weight down to just 60 g. The 6 perimeter ventilation eyelets dissipate heat during extended outdoor sessions or operations in warm conditions. The cotton content aids breathability but offers no water repellency: in heavy rain the fabric will soak through; the upside is that it dries quickly and stays comfortable against the skin.

The four Velcro panels are the defining operational feature. The front panel (9x5 cm) is sized for national or unit identification patches; the top panel (4x4 cm) takes an IR-IFF marker visible to night-vision systems; the rear panel (4.5x4 cm) carries a name tape or blood-type patch. The fourth panel is part of the adjustment system. One trade-off worth knowing: the hook-and-loop closure is fast to adjust and needs no tools, but over time Velcro collects lint and can lose grip if not cleaned regularly — unlike a snap buckle, which holds its tension indefinitely.
