Helikon-Tex Guardian Flap Magazine Pouch — Multicam

The Guardian Flap is a modular front panel designed for the Helikon-Tex Guardian plate carrier: it holds three rifle magazines — compatible with AR, AK47 and AK74 platforms — and attaches to the carrier via two quick-release buckles and a velcro system, with no tools required.

Magazine retention is handled by a shock cord with non-slip pulls running across the top of each of the three compartments. This open-top design allows single-handed magazine removal and reinsertion even with gloves on, but provides less retention than a rigid retention system: operators working in environments where falls or hard contact are likely should weigh this trade-off against systems with a closed or locking flap. Non-slip grip panels are stitched into the lower corners of the flap to help detach it from the carrier without having to locate the buckles in the dark or under stress.

The outer face of the panel features a MOLLE/PALS grid of 6 columns by 3 rows, allowing additional pouches, lights, admin panels or any compatible accessory to be mounted. Along the sides of the flap there are additional loops woven with shock cord for carrying extra gear such as signal sticks or lanyards, without taking up space on the front MOLLE cells.
