The Paraframe II is the largest knife in Gerber's Paraframe series: an open-frame folding pocket knife in stainless steel, with a 90 mm high-carbon steel blade and an overall open length of 210 mm. The open frame is the defining design choice of this knife: it eliminates separate side-scale materials, reduces overall weight and keeps the entire blade accessible for cleaning without disassembly. The trade-off is that debris can reach the pivot more easily than with a closed handle, which makes quick maintenance necessary rather than optional in dusty or muddy conditions.
