The Vector Optics Frenzy-S 1x17x20 AL is a compact, fixed 1x red dot designed for pistols, short carbines and pump-action shotguns where weight is a hard constraint: at just 26 grams with a 20 mm window on the long axis, it delivers a generous field of view without upsetting the weapon's balance or adding noticeable bulk.

The aspherical lens reduces aberrations and keeps the dot free of edge distortion — a direct advantage when acquiring targets quickly in dynamic shooting or close-range hunting. Parallax is set at 23 metres, the practical optimum for pistol and short-range rifle use, where lateral eye movement must not introduce aiming error. The motion sensor switches the red dot on and off automatically: the side-loading CR1620 battery can be replaced without removing the optic or losing zero, and is rated for 50,000 hours at minimum brightness — years of normal use without frequent changes.

With 9 daytime brightness levels, including an extra-bright mode for direct sunlight, and 2 night-vision-compatible levels, the Frenzy-S covers the full operational range from dawn hunting to night duty. The 7075-T6 alloy housing withstands impacts up to 1,500 G, and IP67 waterproofing means it functions reliably in any weather. Elevation and windage travel is at least 90 MOA each, with 1 MOA clicks, allowing fast zeroing on any platform.

Frenzy-S brings the enclosed housing design to the most compact format in the lineup. The aspherical lens reduces edge distortion, keeping the dot round and the target undistorted even when the head is not perfectly centred — a normal condition during a fast draw.
