The mechanism works via a side-mounted push button that compresses a spring-loaded retention ball: pressing the button retracts the ball and frees the swivel body from its socket in under a second. The logic is push-and-pull: press in until it clicks to seat it, press the button to release it. No tools required, no parts to unscrew. The all-metal construction ensures the sling-to-weapon connection holds under tension, unlike the polymer versions common in the entry-level market.

There is a trade-off worth noting: a spring-ball system depends on the QD socket it mates with being intact and within dimensional tolerances. If the socket on the stock or mount is worn or out of spec, retention may feel inconsistent.
