NVG Mount FMA VAS Shroud — Black

The FMA VAS Shroud is the standard interface for mounting night vision devices (NVG) on helmets fitted with the MARSOC/WARCOM three-hole system, including MICH, PASGT, FAST and their variants. At 31 g, it adds the NVG interface without affecting the overall balance of the helmet.

The curved base profile follows the helmet shell and distributes the load of the mounted NVG evenly, reducing the torque moment at the anchor point. The high-resistance nylon construction absorbs the mechanical stresses of field use without failure, keeping the device aligned even after prolonged use in demanding conditions.

The design follows the geometry of the VAS (Velcro Attachment System) widely adopted in military and special forces applications: the shape is intended to provide direct compatibility with most modular NVG types without additional adapters. This universality does come with one caveat: the quality of the final fit still depends on the condition of the three-hole system on the receiving helmet. A helmet with worn or out-of-tolerance holes will reduce coupling stability regardless of the shroud.
