FMA NVG Battery Helmet Pouch — Tan

Rear helmet pouch designed by FMA to house the battery pack for NVG devices, measuring 17.3x11 cm and weighing just 50 g. It attaches to the shell via velcro and also acts as a rear counterweight, offsetting the forward imbalance typical of night vision devices mounted at the front of the helmet.

The velcro attachment allows the pouch to be removed and refitted in seconds without tools, which is a genuine advantage during kit preparation or when changing configuration. The trade-off is that velcro does not provide the same mechanical retention as a lever quick-release system: during sudden movements or in dense vegetation, it is worth checking periodically that the bond is still secure. The mixed nylon, rubber and elastic strap construction keeps weight low and makes cleaning straightforward after field use.

The universal dimensions ensure compatibility with the main shell systems — including FAST and MICH — without additional adapters. The interior can hold an NVG battery box, spare batteries or small accessories that need to stay within immediate reach without taking up space on the body or plate carrier.
