The FMA EXFIL Headset and Helmet Rail Adapter Set GEN2 is a mounting system that allows MSA Sordin-compatible tactical headsets to be attached directly to the side rail of EXFIL-series helmets, eliminating the traditional rigid metal headband. It is designed for operators and shooters who wear their headsets during extended sessions and cannot afford to have the headband interfere with helmet fit or create uncomfortable pressure points on the head.

Installation uses two knurled thumb screws that require no tools: the adapter slides along the helmet's side rail and the nut is already seated within the rail itself, so position adjustment is possible with one hand even while wearing gloves. The two positions — open and closed — allow the helmet to be put on and taken off without unclipping the headset, a practical advantage during quick transitions.

Headset cabling can be routed either inside or outside the helmet shell, giving the operator freedom to manage cable routing according to the rest of their kit configuration. It should be noted that this GEN2 adapter is designed for MSA Sordin headsets and compatible systems: it is not interchangeable with the GEN1 version, which is intended for Peltor Comtac I/II.
