Helikon-Tex EDC Backpack Cordura — Desert Night Camo

The Helikon-Tex EDC Backpack is a dual-compartment pack with a 21-litre capacity, built in 500D Cordura®, designed for those who carry a daily essential kit while keeping the option to attach external equipment. The construction is deliberately uncluttered inside and modular outside: the result is a pack that adapts to the situation without locking you into a fixed organisation scheme.

The main compartment has a plain interior with no dividers or internal pockets, so it takes awkwardly shaped loads without friction points. A hydration bladder hook is fitted, but there is no pre-routed tube port: anyone using a hydration system will need to manage hose routing independently. The front compartment is lined with soft loop velcro compatible with the Helikon-Tex Versatile Insert System®: fitting VIS-line organisers gives a tailored configuration that can be swapped in and out in seconds depending on the context. Without inserts, the compartment is a flat open space suited to documents and thin items.

A MOLLE/PALS webbing system runs across the front and sides, allowing external pouches, dump pouches or medical kits to be attached. On the front panel a large loop velcro field accepts ID patches. The carry system includes anatomical shoulder straps, a sternum strap and a waist belt, plus an elastic bungee cord with a locking toggle for securing clothing or accessories on the back panel. Zips are YKK® and buckles are Woojin®, two reference-grade hardware suppliers for tactical equipment: neither fails through plastic deformation under sustained load. The low empty weight of the pack also makes it a practical choice for long days where the actual load is light but organisation still needs to remain accessible.
