Chest rig Eberlestock Recon Modular Small Bino Pack — Dry Earth

The Recon Modular Small Bino Pack is a compact chest rig by Eberlestock designed for anyone who works or operates outdoors with portable optics: binoculars, spotting scopes, DSLR cameras. The main compartment measures 18.4x14x6.4 cm and closes with a magnetic tab that allows silent, one-handed opening without moving the binocular out of the line of sight.

The magnetic closure is the right choice when speed matters more than absolute retention: no zip to pull, no noisy velcro — though in return the compartment does not protect against lateral impacts the way a rotation-lock system would. For binoculars and optics used for observation — not carried at a run over rough terrain — the trade-off works in your favour. Inside, a removable elastic cord keeps the binocular in place; if you prefer your own retention system, the cord can be taken out. On the front, a zippered pocket with two flat dividers holds maps, documents or small accessories; two elastic side pockets are sized for microfibre cloths, spare batteries or filters.

The MOLLE side wings let you attach compatible pouches from the Recon line or any standard MOLLE accessory, adjusting carried volume to the day's task. The 3D mesh back panel reduces pressure during extended wear against the chest. The harness is flat at the back: it does not interfere with a rucksack and can be removed when the rig is worn over a vest that already has its own shoulder straps. Empty weight is 360 g.
