The SOURCE Convertube is an adapter that turns any standard-mouth bottle into a tube-fed hydration system, letting you drink on the move without pulling the bottle out of your pack or bottle carrier. The tube is 94 cm long, with a rigid connecting section of 35 cm, enough to reach your mouth comfortably even with high-volume packs or a plate carrier worn over bulky kit.
SOURCE's Storm valve is built for operational use: it requires light lip pressure to open the flow and stays closed at rest. This reduces accidental leaks when the tube is loose and swinging against your gear — a real issue when moving over uneven ground or running. The valve unscrews and disassembles without tools for cleaning.
The trade-off to keep in mind is versatility: the Convertube lets you reuse standard bottles — a logistical advantage when dedicated hydration bladders are unavailable or you're away from a resupply point — but the volume you carry depends on the bottle you choose, and the seal at the bottle mouth should be checked against the specific bottle you intend to use. It does not replace an integrated bladder in situations where capacity and weight distribution on the back are critical factors.
