The Competition TwoGun Insert is a magazine insert designed for competitors shooting rifles in high-volume calibres such as .308: it fits into the dedicated pouch on the Helikon-Tex Competition MultiGun Rig and organises two rifle magazines — including bulkier formats such as G3, FAL and SR25 — plus one pistol magazine, all in a single compact, tidy panel.

The magazine pouches are partially stiffened: this rigidity is not a cosmetic feature, but the practical difference between reloading in the dark reliably and having a magazine bounce out. The 500D Cordura® fabric maintains its shape through hundreds of draws, preventing the walls from collapsing into the opening and slowing down the reload.

The central elastic band retains magazines against accidental ejection during the sharp movements typical of dynamic shooting. Compared to a positive retention system, the elastic allows a faster and quieter draw, but provides lower mechanical retention: this is a deliberate trade-off suited to competitive use on the range, where draw speed matters more than passive security. Those using this insert in contexts other than competition should assess whether this solution fits their requirements.
