The Competition TwoGun Insert is a panel designed exclusively for the dedicated pocket of the Helikon-Tex Competition MultiGun Rig. It solves a specific problem: carrying two large-format rifle magazines — G3, FAL or SR25 in .308 — alongside a pistol magazine, in a single swappable insert that installs and removes in seconds.

The magazine pockets are partially stiffened, and that detail is functional, not cosmetic. When reindexing a magazine one-handed under pressure, a soft pocket collapses and the insertion becomes unreliable; the semi-rigid structure keeps the opening clear and guides the magazine in without the operator needing to look. The elastic band across the centre retains magazines through the aggressive movements typical of dynamic shooting, but this is passive retention: it releases and reloads quickly, whereas a positive snap would offer more security at the cost of slower draw times. Helikon-Tex prioritises cycle speed, which is what matters in competitive multigun.

The material is Cordura 500D, a densely woven technical fabric that balances abrasion resistance with manageable weight. The insert is built to withstand repeated training sessions without deforming, keeping pocket geometry consistent over time.
