Helikon-Tex

The Competition Rapid Pistol Pouch is the pistol magazine pouch in the Helikon-Tex Competition system, designed for dynamic shooting where fast, confident reloads matter. The partially stiffened structure guides the hand during reindexing, eliminating the fumbling that is typical of soft pouches.

Retention is handled by an elastic cord running transversally across the centre of the pouch. This is a direct answer to a trade-off every shooter knows: the elastic allows much faster draws and reinsertions than a snap retention system, but offers less absolute hold. In sport shooting, where abrupt movement is the norm but law-enforcement-grade passive security is not required, this balance is exactly right — the magazine stays put during a run between stages, but the hand retrieves it without a fight.

The 500D Cordura construction balances abrasion resistance with a weight that suits daily range use. The attachment system is compatible with MOLLE/PALS and allows direct mounting on belts up to 50 mm wide, covering most shooting belts on the market without additional adapters.

Key points

  • The partially rigid structure guides the magazine during fast reinsertions, reducing reindexing time under pressure.
  • The central elastic cord balances draw speed and retention: well suited to sport shooting, less so for applications requiring absolute hold.
  • Compatible with MOLLE/PALS systems and belts up to 50 mm, with no adapters needed.
  • 500D Cordura resists abrasion on rough surfaces while keeping weight in check.
  • Core component of the Helikon-Tex Competition system, designed to integrate with the other items in the same line.
