Helikon-Tex Competition Rapid Carbine Pouch — Olive Green

The Helikon-Tex Competition Rapid Carbine Pouch is an open-top magazine pouch designed for rifle and carbine magazines, compatible with the most common formats including AR-15 and AK-47. It attaches to MOLLE/PALS systems or directly to belts up to 50 mm wide, and is built in Cordura® 500D to withstand hard use in the field and in competition.

The partially stiffened structure is what sets this pouch apart from a simple fabric sleeve: it holds the opening open even when empty, making it possible to reinsert a magazine one-handed and without looking — a critical action during dynamic shooting sequences. The elastic retention cord positioned at the centre of the pouch secures the magazine during aggressive movement without resisting the draw, a deliberate trade-off: the open top with elastic retention delivers very fast access times and allows magazine reloads without releasing any retention devices, but provides a lower level of passive security than a retention-lock system. For sport shooting and dynamic shooting competitions this is the right choice; for high-physical-risk environments, solutions with active retention should be considered.

The laser-cut front panel integrates a PALS/MOLLE grid on the front and sides, allowing multiple pouches to be stacked in a column — a common configuration for IPSC and IDPA shooters who need three or four magazines in line on the belt. The modular construction lets you adapt the setup to the discipline you compete in without replacing all your gear.
