The Competition Rapid Carbine Pouch is the rifle magazine pouch in the Helikon-Tex Competition system, designed for dynamic shooting disciplines where fast reloads and reliable retention both matter. Compatible with standard carbine and rifle magazines, including AR-15 and AK-47, it attaches to MOLLE/PALS systems or directly to belts up to 50 mm wide.

The body is made from 500D Cordura®, a highly abrasion-resistant fabric that holds its shape over time even under heavy use. The partially stiffened construction is the right choice for shooters who need to seat a magazine one-handed without looking: the pouch does not collapse after the magazine is drawn, making the reload fast and repeatable even under stress. Those who prioritise maximum wall rigidity will find fully rigid magazine pouches a different solution, though one less suited to dynamic shooting where weight and flexibility matter.

Retention is handled by an elastic bungee cord positioned at the centre of the pouch: it holds the magazine securely during abrupt movements without adding meaningful resistance on the draw, which remains fast and natural. This system is the typical trade-off in competitive dynamic shooting — faster than a snap retention, less secure against drops or inverted positions. The laser-cut laminate front panel integrates the modular interface that allows multiple pouches to be stacked in a column, while the front and side PALS/MOLLE attachment points support a range of configurations depending on the loadout.
