The Competition Pocket Pistol Insert is a modular panel designed exclusively for the front utility pocket of the Helikon-Tex Competition MultiGun Rig. It holds two standard pistol magazines and fits the dedicated slot without interfering with the rig's main insert, leaving the overall ergonomics of the system unchanged.

The magazine pockets are partially stiffened — a functional choice, not an aesthetic one. A magazine dropped into a limp pouch tends to tilt, slowing down indexing during a reload. The semi-rigid walls keep the magazine mouth open and aligned, so the hand always finds the same position even after several consecutive strings of fire. The central elastic band retains the magazines during fast movement and position changes, striking a deliberate balance: the open top allows unimpeded extraction and immediate re-insertion of a spent magazine, while the elastic provides passive retention sufficient for dynamic shooting without the constraints of a hard positive lock. The material is Cordura® 500D, a high-density nylon that combines abrasion resistance with low weight, suited to intensive use in competitive shooting.
