Helikon-Tex Competition Med Kit — Olive Green

The Competition Med Kit is a modular medical pouch designed for the range and for anyone carrying an IFAK on a belt or a MOLLE/PALS platform. Its two-part construction — outer shell and removable inner panel — lets you carry a full first-aid loadout and pull the entire thing out in one motion, without digging through the pouch under stress.

The outer shell is made from Cordura 500D, striking a balance between abrasion resistance and manageable weight. The removable inner panel is made from a lighter material and features elastic loops that lock each individual item in place: tourniquet, bandages, decompression needle, shears — nothing shifts during movement. The rigid, non-slip pull tab lets you extract the full panel in seconds with one hand, even with gloves on. One trade-off worth knowing: the pouch has no snap closure around the perimeter, so the panel comes out and goes back in very quickly, but it offers less passive retention than a zip or structured velcro closure. This is a non-issue on a competition belt, but worth considering if the pouch is mounted inverted or on a platform subject to strong vibration.

On the outside, a shock cord allows you to compress the pouch when lightly loaded, or to secure a tourniquet externally for immediate access without opening anything. The front loop panel accepts velcro patches for identification or personalisation. Mounting is possible via MOLLE/PALS or directly on belts up to 50 mm wide, in vertical or horizontal orientation according to the shooter's preference.
