Helikon-Tex Competition Double Rifle Insert Magazine Pouch — Coyote

The Competition Double Rifle Insert is a removable magazine panel designed to hold two standard rifle or carbine magazines, including AR and AK-47 formats. It is purpose-built as a dedicated insert for the Helikon-Tex Competition MultiGun Rig and does not work as a standalone pouch: it fits into the rig's specific front pocket, integrating without adding bulk.

The lower section of each pocket is partially stiffened — a deliberate design choice that makes a real difference during reindexing: a spent magazine seats back into the pocket one-handed, even under pressure, without needing to look. Retention is handled by an elastic cord running across the centre of each compartment, an open-top solution that allows fast draws and immediate reindexing, but offers less retention than a hard-locking retention system. For competitors in dynamic multigun shooting, where reload speed counts in tenths of a second, this trade-off is intentional and worthwhile; those operating in contexts involving sustained acrobatic movement should assess whether this retention level suits their needs.
