Its flat, lightweight profile suits anyone prioritising maximum mobility during operations, training or hunting, keeping kit at the chest while freeing the shoulders from the pressure of a backpack.

The core of the system is the removable triple central pouch, designed for AR-15/M4 and AK magazines: detaching and remounting it in the field allows the rig to be reconfigured in seconds, or magazines to be shared without removing the entire kit. The rear zip panel adds the option to attach a dangler or belly pouch, extending capacity without increasing the front profile. It is worth noting that a chest rig without an integrated quick-release is slower to shed in an emergency than a plate carrier with quick-release: the CHICOM prioritises low weight and mechanical simplicity over speed of removal.

The MOLLE/PALS surface across the entire front face allows radio, medical or admin pouches to be added with no positional constraints.
