Aim-O Advanced 551 Open Red Dot Red/Green — Tan

The Aim-O Advanced 551 is an open red dot with dual-colour reticle — red and green — designed for dynamic shooting and use on carbines and airsoft rifles in a tactical setup. The compact body combines metal and high-resistance polymer, and mounts directly onto any 21 mm Picatinny or Weaver rail via the screw-down system integrated into the base.

The control panel faces the shooter, allowing the unit to be switched on, switched off, and the reticle colour changed without rotating the hand or breaking the grip. Brightness adjustment lets you match dot intensity to ambient light conditions: in bright environments a dot that is too dim disappears against the target, while indoors a dot that is too bright overexposes and causes the perceived dot size to bloom, reducing precision. Being able to step through the available levels is therefore a practical advantage, not just a feature on a spec sheet.

The housing for the four AG13/LR44 batteries is secured by a lever that locks quickly and allows tool-free replacement. This is a trade-off worth considering: four button cells provide stable voltage and decent runtime, but they do require keeping a small spare supply on hand, since the AG13/LR44 format is not always as easy to source in the field as a common CR2032. Windage and elevation adjustments allow you to zero the sight after mounting.
