The Aim-O 45° offset mount is designed to attach the RD-1 and RD-2 red dots to a 20 mm Picatinny rail, letting the shooter transition instantly from the primary optic to the red dot by rolling the rifle onto its side. It is the go-to solution for shooters running a scope or prism optic for mid-range work who need a secondary aiming system ready for close-quarters engagements without taking their hands off the rifle.

The 45° canted mounting position keeps the red dot off the primary optical axis: when shooting from a normal stance the red dot stays out of the field of view and causes no interference, but a simple roll to the right brings the dot in line with the target at short range. This trade-off is the core of the offset concept: it adds versatility without meaningful weight gain or changes to the primary setup, but it does require the shooter to have the roll motion well ingrained — otherwise the transition is slower than a dedicated secondary system would be.

Compatibility is specific to the Aim-O RD-1 and RD-2 models, which mount directly to this bracket without any additional adapters.
