chest-rig-miltec-tactical-vest-6-pouches-flecktarn
Chest Rig Miltec Tactical Vest 6 Pouches — Flecktarn

The Miltec Tactical Vest 6 Pouches is an open-back chest rig with padded shoulder straps, designed for those who need to carry a full kit without putting strain on their back – particularly suited to vehicle crews or operators already running a pack: the open back allows it to be worn over a rucksack or body armour without creating pressure points. Empty weight is approximately 840 g, constructed from 600D PVC-coated polyester, a combination that balances low weight with abrasion resistance.

The chest rig is built around a front panel with 3 main pouches, each fitted with a plastic quick-release buckle paired with noise-dampening hook-and-loop: the combination lets you open the pouch silently when discretion is required, or use the buckle for immediate access. The 2 side utility pouches extend capacity for trauma kits, torches or ancillary gear, while the rear pouch behind the front panel – sitting against the body – provides a flat compartment ideal for documents, maps or a field tablet. Fit is one size with adjustable shoulder straps and waist strap, and the system is designed to layer over a body armour carrier or protective vest.

The trade-off to bear in mind is the one typical of any open-back chest rig: weight distribution works very well paired with a rucksack, since the two systems offload at different points across the body, but in stand-alone configuration the load sits entirely on the shoulders and chest strap, without the lumbar support of a plate carrier. Those carrying heavy kits for extended periods will benefit from pairing it with a pack; anyone looking for a fully self-contained system for long-duration loads should consider a design with a structured back panel.

Key Features

The open back allows the chest rig to be worn over a rucksack or existing body armour without redundant pressure points.

The combined plastic buckle and noise-dampening hook-and-loop on the 3 main pouches allow fast or silent access depending on the situation.

Padded shoulder straps and adjustable waist strap in one size adapt the system to different builds without structural modification.

Empty weight is 840 g in coated 600D polyester.

The rear pouch behind the front panel sits against the body, protecting maps and documents while keeping them within reach.

In the Box

Chest rig Miltec Tactical Vest 6 Pouches in Flecktarn
